ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Megan Kirchhoff!

I'm here to support you in living your fullest life, one where you can thrive, rather than just survive.

When dealing with chronic illness, you often hear from run-of-the-mill health practitioners that all you can do is "manage" your illness, that you'll be taking medication for the rest of your life, or maybe that you don't even have a diagnosable condition (anybody with general antibodies or IBS knows what I mean).

I've heard all of these things myself, and a few years ago I never would have thought that I could feel as good as I do now!

My Story, the Abridged Version

I started experiencing health issues about ten years ago. It began with crushing fatigue, amenorrhea (loss of periods), vitamin deficiencies, and hand tremors. Gastroparesis joined the list shortly after (a fun one where food doesn't move out of your stomach). I saw physician after physician with no conclusion. I cut out gluten and dairy and had some relief, but for the most part my issues persisted. I continued like this for years, falling asleep everywhere, losing unhealthy amounts of weight, continuing to over-exercise, living in a constant stressed state.

I received two autoimmune diagnoses within two years and started investigating holistic dietary approaches to healing. This brought me amazing results...for a time. And then my health peaked, and started to deteriorate again. It wasn't until I realized the impact of my emotional background, trauma, and my personality on my body that things really turned around for me.

After having this experience, I knew I wanted to help other people in similar situations. I am now certified as an Integrative Health and Nutrition Coach by the International Institute of Naturopathy, am a trained yoga teacher (500 hr), and a certified level II Reiki practitioner . I am a science nerd and a health nut to the core, and I've absorbed unbelievable amounts of information over the last ten years of my own illness. I have been there; I know how it feels, both physically and emotionally. I am here to tell you that healing is possible, and that "the whole health," rather than just being physically fit or eating a vegetable, means finding the right path for your body, your mind, and your spirit.

I'm currently living in Munich, Germany, where my life is full of sustainable work, yoga, meditation, cooking, and enjoying nature (the ALPS!).
